I understand I haven’t posted a blog in a while.  I wanted to yet I have just been so Stumped in what to say.  I’ve been praying, reading parts of scripture, and have sat and thought many a time, yet Still couldn’t think of what to say.  SO, this is an overview what has happened the past 10 days.

As for the title of this Blog, those were just random highlights that came to my mind.  Honestly, I’m horrible at writing and being good at being frequent in blogs as what I feel I’m expected of (thanks Allison Johnston, haha).  This might be a large posting too with plenty of random things in it.

So yes, I did have my Benefit Concert this past Friday (27th of Aug.).  It wasn’t packed or anything, But it was overall a Great night.  Huge thanks to Everyone who came out to it, the musicians, the sound, light and projector guys, and a thanks to Sams Club, Starbucks, and a friend named Chase for bringing the Monster energy drinks.  There were SO Many available drinks at this concert, it was ridiculous (non-alcoholic, get your mind outta the gutter).

I’m just so Thankful for the opportunity to have the concert, and it was Certainly a learning experience in putting one together and promoting it, WHEW.  It was a good amount of work and checking with so many people.  I made a video which is of a few friends of mine, who were asked a few questions with their views and responses…that video will be at the bottom of this blog…It’s GOOD! Please Watch it!!

While in Valdosta, I was able to attend Several worship services of the BCM, Wesley Foundation, Crossroads Baptist college ministry, & Solomans Porch.  All were Fantastic!  The music and sermons/topics were phenomenal, and what the crazy thing was that All of them were over things we had (in my mind) discussed in Training Camp AND in my own personal readings.  So these were just like Solidifying what I had learned and it was Great.

So here’s the deal, I am CLEARED to GO on the TRIP!  However, I am still having to raise about $4,500 to be fully funded and get other things taken care of.  As a World Racer, there are MANY other things we must invest in order to GO.  For me, I’ve had to pay for Gear, Shots/Meds, Airfare to L.A., Insurance, and more.  That all costs close to $1,000.

Money is such a Huge reason why people are “discouraged” away from taking so many “risks” in life.  I read another squad-mates Great Blog (Aimee Holladay), and she explained it where it made me realize from a different point of view of the people who donate and invest in someone for such a trip as this.  YOU are the Senders…..This trip WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT PEOPLE SUPPORTING ME!  Whether it’s prayer, help in a fundraiser, donation, or whatever.  ALL are so Important in getting ready and towards this goal, and ALL comes from The Lord.

Lately I’ve honestly felt like in a Rut of fund-raising now that the concert is done with.  I know I am Not the only one in either Sept. Squad, and it’s mentally tough when you feel like there aren’t too many other options.  However, I do have to say I am Very fortunate and Thankful for how much I’ve been gifted in donations, since there are several team & squad mates who are desperately Needing some funds…More than I.  They are in my constant prayer and thoughts.

Sarah Patterson
(AMAZING Woman in R-Squad) shared with me a Great verse the other day. Psalm 33:20-22
We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our
shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we TRUST His holy name. Let
your unfailing love surround us, Lord, FOR OUR HOPE IS IN YOU ALONE!

I Just Sat and Stared at this verse for a while, read it over and over again, and I could Feel the weight of the stress, anxiousness, & what not just like Lift Off my shoulders.  The crazy thing is that this verse (along with many others) can be applied to all sorts of situations in our Life…Gah I LOVE THE BIBLE….it is SO ALIVE TO THIS DAY!

Anywho, Q & R Squad…we have 2 weeks LEFT in the United States…..the realization of the trip is upon us and I must thank for All the prayers so far and those to Come for us.
