Yup.  It's exactly what I've heard and felt from so many "nice" people over the past 2 months since being back from Spain.

Why, as a especially a "Christian Culture", have we allowed ourselves to say it's OK to "Hate" another person based on their school/team of choice?  Political views?  Religion?  even High School?  I know people who couldn't enter into their rival schools stadium, because they couldn't stand the other school colors.  Even if it was a completely different school and team being played in it.

WOW.  Way to go America.  Way to show/express love towards literally your neighbor.  I'm directing this message to anyone who realizes within themselves what they are saying and doing against others.

Refocusing back on sports, especially college football.  It seems to bring out the "worst" in many people.  So much venom, death, and hate filled in one's mind and mouth.  What for?  You just want to hate something in this world, so you focus your attention on somebody who wears different colors than you?  But..But?  That's all I can hear from people who are rivaled sports fans.  Nothing but excuses to grant you the selfish right to tear somebody down.  They're a human being just as much as you are!  But you don't care?  You choose not to care!  Get over your Apathy!

So what?  So what if one hates another team or person?  Satan is sitting back and laughing at how Easily us humans have such bitterness and fighting towards one another…and we've even allowed a Rivalries name show it.  Football games, players, and fans driven by hate.  Wow.  The Slogans "To Hell with _______".  Really?  Our culture says it's OK to Wish HELL over somebody else due to choice of….whatever it may be.

I say and remind us these things simply to challenge and encourage.  To Challenging those who call themselves Christians that You Are Better Than This.  Deep Down…and You Know It.  Don't compromise and conform to the World.  To encourage those who see and understand clearly what I'm trying to get across and share with those whom they're with.

1 John 3:16-20

Certainly as a dear sports fan, I have come to realize and watch what I'm simply saying at sporting events.  It's something I'm a lot better at than many years ago, but still doing my best at catching myself.
