After a loooooonnng 35+ hours of bus rides, my NEW team and I have finally made it to our ministry site in Myanmar!! Meet….Team Bold And Relentless Edge, also known as… Team B.A.R.E.! Transitioning into month 5 on the race, F squad went through team changes, which can be a little intimidating at first however the vision behind it is truly incredible. It is a chance to live with 6 entirely new minds, perspectives, and ways of life. As I am thankful for the past 4 months and everything that Team Uprooted taught me, I am also so excited to learn and grow in new areas and have the opportunity to do life and walk alongside these 6 remarkable women in this new season.
That being said….as a new team this month we are in Myanmar, our first closed country on the race. The vibe is unmistakably different than other Asian countries I have visited. Myanmar has only been open to foreigners a mere 7 years, that being said, the locals are not necessarily accustomed to seeing westerners.
This month, we are living in a quaint mountain town, where we take an old beat up school bus with retro turquoise seats up a mountain cliff every morning to a school where we get to teach kids ranged from the ages of 4-16. I can’t disclose more details because of Myanmar being a closed country and also to protect the ministry host with whom we are working. However, Team B.A.R.E. is ecstatic to be in the 10/40 window working and living in the mountains of Myanmar this month. Other details: We are living underneath a guesthouse in the basement, where we take bucket showers (which aren’t actually that bad), and the power in the whole town goes out at least once a day. We are living minimally this month as compared to months prior, nonetheless it has prompted me to be grateful for the little things in life again, which has been humbling.
Because of the countries we will be in over the next few months, I will have to keep my blog password protected. The password is: fsquad.
Below is a picture right outside my classroom where I get to teach and love on beautiful Burmese children every day.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands”
Psalm 19:1
Love you all,
