Hi, welcome to my blog!
My name is Briana Damilini, I am 24 years old and currently living in Juneau, Alaska. I am originally from Arizona and went to school there and graduated at Arizona State in 2015 with a degree in Psychology and Spanish and have been traveling ever since. I spend my summers in Alaska and my winters traveling various places and countries. I currently work in the cruise ship tourism industry and enjoy every moment of living in beautiful Alaska. Some of my hobbies include: Hiking, cooking, reading, traveling, working out, scuba diving, playing guitar, and speaking Spanish. If you ask anyone who knows me even a little bit, they would likely tell you two things. One, I have an extremely adventurous spirit, and two, a shameless affinity for puns.
I first heard about The World Race last year from my best friend who was telling me about it, and I felt deep down something tell me that this was the next step for me. I made my decision right then and there that this was the next journey I was to begin to prepare for. I have been traveling for about 2 years now on my own and it has been nothing less than amazing, but now I feel this urge to combine my passion for travel with my love for Jesus and for others. This is why The World Race was calling my name. I have always wanted to give my life to the Lord 100% and I feel as though this journey is the perfect opportunity to do so.
I launch in January, 2018. I am excited, nervous, scared, and a number of other emotions, but I am positive that this experience will be once in a lifetime and change the person I am, forever. I believe that you have found yourself on this page for a reason. I am super thrilled to have you be a part of this with me as I share my experiences over the course of the race. So, join me on this crazy adventure and let’s come together to see all that God has in store!
