That was a video depicting where I will be going made by one of my teammates.

Yes : (   Unfortunately I am going to miss a lot of birthdays, some weddings, and a lot of other big moments in everyone’s lives.  It was brought to my attention that 11 months is a really long time.  During the time I am away, it will be possible for friends to get married, become pregnant and have their first baby.  I am specifically bummed about missing Dave and Kim’s wedding in July.  I am looking into some sort of video conference, or at least creating a video speech for the wedding.

So here are the logistics.  Some of the details are still being finalized, but I will be leaving on January 1-4 and returning late November.  I will be going to different countries different months including: Kenya, Uganda, Ukraine, Romania, New Zealand, Australia, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Thailand.   Two of the months are not finalized and we will just to see where God takes us.

We aren’t sure what we will be doing in each country yet, but here are a list of some of activities previous groups have engaged in.
Building: wells, water filtration systems, plumbing, houses, churches
Teaching: English, Aids, Health, Sermons
Human Trafficking: doing what we can to stop it and help those involved
Loving: healing the sick, sheltering the homeless, feeding the poor, loving the rejected
Ministering: evangelizing through sermons, dramas, praying for people in the streets, door-to-door
Supporting: local contacts and churches in the area
Going: wherever God leads

So, in conclusion, you should all hold off on getting pregnant until April and nobody should get married until December 2010  🙂
I will be sure to keep my blog updated bi-weekly during the trip so everyone can stay appraised of what’s going on in my life and let me know whats happening in your lives.
