This is a poem I wrote for my sisters on U Squad, but it equally applies to all my sisters. Remember these truths and hold them close to your hearts. Love you all!
You are warrior women of God’s grand army
The protectors
The healers
Letting loose your arrows of virtue
You are peace keepers
You are truth speakers
Proclaiming life into the dead
You are forgivers
You are strivers, not content to be content
You are hard workers, an example to all
An inspiration to me
You are beauty o daughters of Eve
Beautiful
Perfectly made in the image of our creator
Not a single centimeter that God
Didn’t look at and say, “It is good,”
It is perfect.
You are a raging fire
Ready to consume injustice and hate
You are dangerous as a lioness
Protecting her young
Delicate as a blooming flower
Strong as the ocean waves and
Fragile as the sand upon the shores
You are God-breathed
You are works of exquisite art
You are love. The hands and feet of God
Showing the world what it means to be loved
You are caretakers
Selfless servants of the most High
You are God’s image
Perfectly and wonderfully made
You are my inspiration
You are the women of U Squad
And the bravest warriors I have ever known
