My journey with Christ has been a very fast one. I first met the World Race November of last year, I accepted Christ in December. I applied for the World Race in April, got accepted. Went to training camp in July. Left for the race in October. All of this with in less than a year. So with Christmas coming up, it got me thinking, MY 1 YEAR of accepting Christ is coming up!!! That is so cool!!! What should we do!! I know…there is one thing I haven’t done yet since God came into my life…

I’m getting baptized!!!!

December 18th 2010 I was in Senga Bay, Malawi, Africa with 2 World Race teams accepting Christ. December 18th 2011 I am on Ometempe Island, Nicaragua with 2 World Race teams getting Baptized!!! How funny is God!! How AMAZING is God!! To have the World Race be SUCH a big part of my path with Him.

So the stage was set, I was going to get baptized in Lake Nicaragua, but who was going to do it?! There was only 2 people I could think of, my squad leaders. But one of them was not just a squad leader, she was on the squad that brought me to faith, Stacey Compton. It was not only a blessing for her to be there that day, but for Stacey to actually BAPTIZE me!! Was amazing!!!

That day was amazing!! It was so nice out and the water so refreshing!! It was just so cool to be surrounded by 13 people I loved on such a huge moment of my life!! God had once again given me a fresh start, My sins were washed away by the water. I felt cleansed, refreshed, powerful!!! I felt new again.

Baptism by one of the people who brought me to Christ, in the beautiful water of Lake Nicaragua, surrounded by 13 amazing men and women of God, in the presence of the Lord…….AMAZING!!!!!
