To my friends and family, both future and present,
I wanted to talk to you a little bit about what has happened recently in my life. If you do not know, I have been living in Malawi Africa for the past 7 months. I was volunteering a lot and managing a hotel. While there, I came in contact with a group of American Christian missionaries who stayed with us for a week. I had so much fun with them and learned a lot about what they were doing. While getting to know them and getting to understand what they were doing, something amazing happened. God came into my life and changed me forever!! My life has been so amazing ever since. The program that they were with was called The World Race. I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life, but I know this, God has called me to do the World Race. I am so happy to tell you that I have been accepted to the program and will launch with the October 2011 squad!!!
I will serve as a missionary through an organization, Adventure in Missions, in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches,work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I have done 2 trips with Habitat for Humanity to both Malawi and Thailand which were both amazing, we were building affordable housing for families in need. I also have done the NSTAR Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital for the past 3 consecutive years raising over $3,000 for the hospital. I feel that God has put it on my heart to do even bigger things for Him.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. I am writing to you to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $15,000 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be given
as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If 45 people pledge $1 a day for 11 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip. $1 a day!! That’s all it takes to feed the hungry, to build a church…to save a life!!!
I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you, I want you to be a part of this amazing gift that I have been given!!
