Hiiiyaaaa!! Sorry for the sudden drop off, but we moved!! My entire squad of 50 is now staying in Honduras TOGETHER!!! All of us….living, eating and doing life with each other…sharing 1 bathroom!!! It’s really amazing getting to know ALL of my squad mates on a deeper level. It’s really funny sometimes with all of us living together in 1 big room, madness is the word that comes to mind.
This month my team is working with one other team, Zoi, which is going to be amazing!! We are running a ‘summer camp’ kind of thing for about 80 kids from 6-12. It’s been really good for the first couple of days. I have the older kids group, so we have a few trouble makers, but overall they are really good and we get to connect with them a little more than we would the younger kids. So we teach them English, do Bible studies with them and play fun games with them. After the camp is done for the day we help out our contact for the rest of the day fixing up his property. Our contact this month is AMAZING!!! His name is Tony and he is so nice and will do anything to accommodate us, too spoiled we are!!!
So that is a brief summary of the first couple things that we are doing in Honduras and I will do an end of the month wrap up. We don’t have internet access a lot this month. But overall God is GREAT and I have been having a blast on the race so far. Learning a lot about myself, and God and people!! It’s been amazing.
