This blog is dedicated to the 10 days I spent at training camp in TN, let me start off by saying this…….hslgbfuiregpw;ugbasdkjgvasdfghreisdnkjfan!!!!!!!!! Because that is what is going on in my head right now!!!!! I had NO idea what I was in store for, and I was blown away!!
To start off, it was SOOOO amazing to see some of the P squad alumni!! P squad is such a big part of my testimony and it felt so good to have a few of them there at training camp to start my new journey with. My squad is called the B squad (best squad) and we are BLESSED to have 2 amazing squad leaders!! Mike Sanders who is a World Race alumni, and the wonderful Stacey Compton who was on the P squad!!! We are so amazingly blessed to have 2 strong, nice, caring, AMAZING children of God to lead us for the first 4 months!!! I want to send a shout out to ALL the AIM staff and volunteers who helped at camp!! To helping with challenges, putting everything together, training us giving lectures and cooking our food, THANK YOU!!!
The week consisted of lectures, different cultural meals, some scenarios’ that we might encounter while on the field, squad bonding, formation of teams, team bonding, camping, dance offs AND SO MUCH MORE!!! I can’t actually believe how much we did in such a short time!! We were there for 2 days and it felt like a week!! My squad is AMAZING!!!! Such nice, quinine people who are just as in love with Jesus as I am!!! I am MORE than excited to spend a year of my life with them!! It was kind of weird from going to never talking to these people to becoming FAMILY and loving them more than anything!!! I can not understand how fast I fell in love with my squad!! WHO ARE WE!! WE’RE THE B SQUAD!!!
MY TEAM!! Aka: the 5 people I get to travel the world with and spend every waking second of the day with!!! To be perfectly honest….I NEVER thought I would be on a team with any of them…..I probably had a conversation with each of them once? The whole time at camp?! Lol But we all know how funny God is and how weird he works!! Now talking to them, hanging out, bonding and evangelizing with them……….GOD WAS SO RIGHT ON!!! I can’t even tell you how excited I am!! We are perfect, SO DIFFERENT, but so perfect!! You know the saying, opposites attract, well THERE YA GO!! I can’t wait to see how each of us is going to grow in this next year!! Our team name is, IGNITE!!! We chose that name because we, as a team are going to IGNITE the world with the words of God and set the world on fire with the fire that is in our bones because of the love we have for Him!!!
So if you could, some prayer requests :
Please pray for financial funding for my entire squad!! We all need so much more support.
Please pray for peace for my squad mates who are going through some tough times back in their homes.
Please pray for guidance for alumni racers who don’t know what God has in store for them in the next few months.
Please pray for all the other squads either on field or getting ready to launch.
