I’m back in Thailand!!! It feels so good to be back in Thailand again, I was here about 9 months ago? With the team change and going to a new continent I am feeling so inspired!! I feel like I’m on fire for the Lord right now!! I want to just GO!!! I want to change Thailand and it’s Buddhist ways!!! We are staying in a province called Phitsanulok which is up north, 5 hours south of Chaing Mai. The culture here in Thailand is stunning!!! The people are beautiful, the country itself is amazing. The food is SO GOOD!!!! Everyone here smiles all the time, it’s great!! But there are lots of things that aren’t great. There are temples everywhere to honor Buddha. We went on a prayer walk one of the first days we got here and we prayed inside the main temple in Phitsanulok. I just stood there and watched hundreds of people pray to this gold statue and all these idols that surrounded it. It felt so heavy. It felt so empty. I just didn’t understand.
This month I want to take the time and talk to the people of Thailand. See why they want to be Buddhist. See what it gives them, if they are happy? But more importantly, talk to them about Jesus and how amazing God is and how much more He can love them than anything else in the world can!!! This is going to be a tough month for me, possibly a tough couple of months seeing that we are in Asia for 4 months. But I know the Lord has my back and He gives me my strength to evangelize and preach His word.
Ministry this month is AMAZING!!! We alternate nights between a group of break dancers and a group of skate boarders!!!! How cool is that!!! These boys are 16-22 and just want to dance or skate all night. They go there every night and just have fun with each other!! They aren’t drinking or smoking or doing anything bad, they just want to dance and express themselves!! I love it!! So we are just living life with them and we are trying to learn some moves at the same time. We are showing them though our actions Christ’s love and also talking to them and doing skits to preach to them as well. This should be an amazing month full of relationships, challenges and amazing fun times, and a lot of AMAZING food!!! I will let you all know more of my stories when they unfold!!
