So remember when I first got accepted for the race there was 1 month in Asia where we didn’t know where we would be, well guess what, this is that month and we are in …………VIETNAM!!!
We are in the capital, Ho Chi Minh City for the whole month doing all sorts of different things. Our schedule doesn’t really tell us much, so we just show up when we are told and get surprised on what we are doing and where we are going, it’s kind of fun!!
So far we have been to an orphanage with 20 CRAZY kids who think that we are free jungle gyms!!! They climb all over us and beat us up!! It’s kind of intense. But it is a Christian orphanage and they love the Lord and we sing Jesus songs and dance with them.
It was Women’s day the other day!! So we partnered with a local church and helped sell flowers to people to raise money for the church. That was actually a lot of fun!! Chrissy was my partner and we ROCKED it!! We sold almost 20 flowers!? We lost count after a while.
We went to an international church service last Sunday which was good!! It was in English so we could understand it!!! The room was full of white people which was a huge change for us!! But they were very open to us and said that they would love for us to come back every Sunday, which we are.
We went to a Christian school and thought English for a few hours one day.
We also spent a day at a Christian drug recovery center talking to the guys there. (there is a blog up on that day)
But that’s it so far!! Very spread out this month, but we are in the middle of the city with tons of opportunities to minister!!! Should be a good month!!!
