I sit in awe of God sometimes and what He has done in me and my life. My race is almost over and I can’t believe the ride He has taken me on these past 2 years. Last Dec I was managing a hostel in Lilongwe Malawi. Drinking and partying was my job, literally!!! Yet the Lord put a target on my back and sent 65 Christian missionaries to my hostel to change my life forever. You can read my past blogs for more on that crazy adventure….
Let’s focus on what THIS blog is about, let me tell you a little more about my story. After meeting P squad, talking with them and becoming friends with them, I decided to go to their ministry site which 2 teams were at for the month to visit them. Their contacts names were Marie and Johan Mathee, a South African couple who now are missionaries in Senga Bay Malawi. I only stayed a few days with the 2 teams and the contacts, and in those few days of seeing how they lived I accepted Christ the day before I had to go back to work.
3 months after that moment I got accepted to go on The World Race, 2 months after that I went to training camp for The World Race, 3 month later I launched in Guatemala and 10 months after that I am here….getting ready to end my race going into month 11. Now The World Race doesn’t go to Malawi too often for some reason, so I knew that having Malawi on my route was special, particularly since I accepted Christ there. So going into the month I was praying about who was going to be our contact? Where we were going to be? What we would do? I was just excited to be back into the country which means so much to me and how excited I am to show my squad Malawi. So here is where God gets even more amazing…..
Month 11, our final month of the race, I am blessed and honored to tell you that I will be staying at the same contacts in which the last World Race team stayed at. In Senga Bay, the exact same place in which I accepted Christ. HOW GREAT IS GOD!!! How cool is He that He sits in heaven and laughs at the amazing gifts He gives His children!!! For me to end this year long adventure in the same place where I accepted the Lord is SUCH an amazing blessing for me. The circles God creates to make us happy makes me laugh so hard sometimes!!! I love it!!
I get to end my race where it all started. I get to show my team THE BED in where I accepted Christ!! I get to introduce the people who taught me the basics of the Bible right after I accepted Christ and they get to be our contacts for an entire month!!! HOW BLESSED AM I!?!?! I don’t understand sometimes!!!
