You know the saying; turn a new leaf. Well, we have to experience fall weather, or winter weather. We're still in the midst of summer weather!
Anyways, Happy New Year! This post is a quick one because internet time is limited (we don't have internet where we're staying near Mumbai, and opportunities to go into town for internet access are rare). I just wanted to update everyone that Christmas in Cambodia was awesome! We got to put on a skit for the kids on Christmas day and deliver a message about the birth of and importance of Christ. There were about 50 kids whom we all got to help serve a curry dinner to. In the evening we all danced around the campfire with them into the late hours! I'm not much of a dancer, but I must admit, in that sort of environment with joyous kids pulling on my arms, it's hard not to get into it! Our team had a celebration of our own, which was both incredible and humbling.
After Christmas, we went to India to another debrief. I'll share greater details in my next blog post, but things are going well with the team. We are now in our location for the month, and have become familiar with our ministry. I'm pleased to report that we're working with children all month! I have never been so happy to have kids crawl all over me. We're greeted every morning with a hand shake from all of the boys, and I get to entertain them (and myself) with games and songs and teaching every day! God is at work in India, and our hosts are incredible people. Look forward to more stories in the near future, and rest assured, God is moving in my heart and is showing me the importance of children, no matter how old they are, how healthy they are, or where they're from. I love it!
So we may not have turned a new leaf, but ministry continues, and this is the busiest month yet. India is quite an incredible place. Keep your prayers with us! And please please forward your prayer requests to me. I'll be glad to pray for you and your friends and family. James tells us that the prayers of a righteous man have great power as it works. Our whole team strives for righteousness, even after having all of our sins pardoned by our Lord. What a life.
