Ah, life on the field.  Traveling to several very different countries, depriving myself of sleep regularly week after week, subjecting myself to a diet that’s riddled with strange foods that may or may not be handled and prepared properly or cooked thoroughly, unable to access fresh fruits or vegetables most of the time.  This sort of thing probably wreaks havoc on one’s immune system huh?  I would expect this sort of lifestyle to irritate my digestive system, make my skin less healthy, and cause my blood to be in a bit tainted.  The solution back home would be to stockpile fruits and veggies and repair my diet with produce and lots of water.  Even then, it’s tough to actually get 7-13 servings of fruit and veggies in a day, right?  I mean, how many of you eat that much fruits and vegetables?  Think about it… that’s like a serving every 2 hours, meaning you need a banana when you wake up, an orange at 8am, a bunch of grapes and some carrots at 10am, a generous salad at noon, some berries and nuts at 2, maybe an apple with some celery and peanut butter at 4, a spinach or kale salad with bell peppers and beets with dinner, and a green smoothie in the evening.  That’s all on top of your grains, dairy, and maybe a small bit of meat.  Gosh, even thinking about it makes me tired, envisioning repeated trips to the grocery store to replace that rotting lettuce, soft carrots, and moldy grapes that slipped past my memory in the crisper drawer.  Do you eat your 7-13 every day?  I know I don’t.  I most certainly don’t while on the Race!

No no no, my diet on the Race goes more like this… oats or cold cereal with water, milk, or poor quality soymilk for breakfast if I’m fortunate enough to have found a good local grocer.  For lunch it’s most likely a PB&J on nutrient-void white bread and maybe a piece of fruit.  The alternative is street food, which could be anything from white rice with a perplexing texture served on a dirty plate, to mystery meat with a few sprouts of hair on the side and a pepper on top.  For dinner it’s either a repeat of lunch or go out to a local restaurant with the team for some rice covered with an egg emanating a peculiar odor and some steamed veggies and probably some “pork” or chicken tossed around on top that’s been soaked in a spicy concoction of sorts.  Now, I’m all for trying cultural foods and having unique culinary experiences, but every single day for 11 months has got to do something strange to my insides, right?

Enter Juice Plus+.  It supplements my diet with 7 to 13 servings of fruits and veggies every single day, essentially bridging the gap between what I do eat and what I should eat!  You could almost think of it as dietary salvation.  Juice Plus+ consists of fruits and vegetables picked fresh and ripe, then juiced & dried at low temperatures within hours of being harvested, preserving live enzymes and important nutrients in every capsule.  This is how I keep my diet in check on the Race and at home – ultimately keeping me and my blood healthy.  Who wouldn’t want that? I’m sharing all this to encourage you to check it out too!  It’ll cost you less than $1.50 a day (which is way less than actually buying all those fresh organic fruits and veggies every day!)  You don’t have to be an international traveler to need more fruits and veggies either. My fiancée, Michelle, has taken JP+ to supplement her already healthy vegan diet for over 3 years and has done so by adding in the cost of Juice Plus+ to her food budget.  And I can say that I’m almost 3 months into my race and haven’t been sick yet, despite my ever-changing living conditions. Plus+ kids can get Juice Plus+ gummies for FREE! (message me for info)  If this makes sense to you and you are ready to live your life to the Plus+ with Juice Plus+ I’d love to help.  I have a Juice Plus+ website that allows you (and me) to order Juice Plus+ and it gets shipped directly to your house. If you know you need to eat more fruits and veggies, check out my website: www.barnettjuiceplus.com and you can order from the “store” on this website! Easy as that!

In your efforts to get you and your family healthy and ready for the upcoming cold & flu season you’ll actually be helping me and Michelle prepare for our wedding, financially speaking, because I get a small amount from each sale.  Being on mission for 11 months, I am being prepared mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to lead Michelle in our marriage, and I see Juice Plus+ as an opportunity for me to prepare financially for our marriage, while also tending to God’s calling on my life.  If you know anyone who has a passion for health and is looking for meaningful work, we need help sharing this information, and we’d love to expand our team!  Our company is rapidly growing and we’re having fun making a difference in people’s lives spiritually and physically.
