My team's ministry in Tiraspol, the capitol of Transnistria, is now complete. The English Camp I mentioned in my last blog post was actually quite challenging. Flexibility and patience was the name of the game. Raj and i partnered up to oversee a dozen boys aged 10 to 14. These kids werent taught manners or respect apparently and caused us grief all week, but we were able to persevere with patience and love and grow closer to them by the end of the week. Everyday started at 6 and ended around mIdnIght. it was one of the most tiring weeKs on the Race. Everyday we had morning exercise, room cleaning time, breakfast, song and worship, rotations of art, sports, creative music, and essentially free time, with lunch in there somewhere. Later came 'the box' where we did skits, songs, lessons etc.
Instead of leading camp a second week, my team returned to town to teach English 4 times a day. The other squad's two teams led camp while we continued building relationships in class. It was still tiring but rewarding. i believe the Holy Spirit is about to do some stuff in Tiraspol!
