Jesus once said, “which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?”  This was during his sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7).  Preceding this comment, he says that everyone who asks, receives.
I have asked for your help in raising funds for this World Race, and you deserve a round of applause because I now sit at $9,700!  Your efforts have put me in Malaysia, Australia, and on my way to Vietnam, all in the name of God.  I can’t thank you enough, and you’re sure to get a big hug when I return!  Now I’d like to explain what happens next…
Adventures In Missions has in place deadlines for Racers to meet in order to continue on this trip.  The next deadline for everyone on K Squad is December 1, 2012.  I have to have $11,000 in my account in order to continue on the World Race.  You may be aware that the total I am responsible for raising is $15,500, and I am blown away that I’ve been able to raise over half that in a span of 6 months!  Many team members have already met this goal, and even surpassed it.  So what happens if accounts overflow?  Initially, we thought that surplus would go to assist other teammates in reaching their goal, but word on the street is that AIM swallows up any surplus for other organizational uses.  With this knowledge, there’s a pressing need for us Racers to raise as much support as possible until we reach our final goal, then notify supporters that we’ve met our obligation.  While I am approximately 62% funded, if funds stopped coming in, AIM doesn’t necessarily feel obligated to keep me on the field for 62% of the time covered by that funding (7 months) and could send me home early.
I would like to ask you to continue supporting me financially, and please tell your family and friends about my World Race as well.  If you do support me, please email me your address so I extend a proper thank you from the far reaches of our globe.  My request here is indeed finite: I need $1,300 by December 1 in order to continue on the Race, and following that, an additional $4,500 needs to be raised by March 1.  Please click the Support Me! link on the left side of the page to donate.
You may look forward to more in depth blogging on my part to keep you informed, although the frequency of posts may be limited as we are soon entering restricted countries that are closed to sharing the Gospel.
THANK YOU!!
