do; because we believe what we do is important. There are many things people
believe in: jobs, money, family, friends, business, partying, religions etc. Everyone
puts forth time, money, effort, energy towards the things they believe in the
most.
This year our choice was let our
desires align with the will of God through missions. Something we feel we are
called to do for the rest of our lives.
Sometimes others don’t agree and sometimes people just think
we are crazy. We’re not always seen as normal or understood. We are ok with that, if what we do
glorifies God.
Why? Because we
believe it is the most important thing for us. What God has designed us to do.
We believe that there is so much more for us and so much
more for others, with a life living for God.
We believe that following Jesus is worth it all.
We believe there is something more then just us. The creator
of the universe, God.
We believe there is something different for our life.
Something other then working a typical 9-5 job, owning a home and filling it
with kids and things, or anything else that would be seen as a typical American
life. Not that these things are
bad, don’t misunderstand, but for us it looks a lot different.
We believe that living a life with God and following Jesus
is irrevocably awesome and the center of our lives.
We believe that with following Jesus, comes incredible
freedom, joy, peace, love, laughter and eternal life.
We believe that forgiveness, generosity, honesty, compassion
is the way to live
We believe that Jesus showed and taught us the life to live with God our Father as the focus.
We know this will not always be easy or fun or free of
danger, but we also know that God is the great provider and protector.
We believe that Jesus was sent to die for our sins and bring
us back into an intimate relationship with our Father.
God is alive and speaks to us creatively through the Holy
Spirit.
What do you believe? I pray we all put into action what we
believe. I know I have difficulty doing that at times. Keep walking forward.
