Seek God. God wants to be in a relationship with you more than anything. God is personal and it is all about restoring a relationship that was lost and is always in battle. God wants the one lost soul more then all the other people who are not in need of resuce. ( The lost sheep Luke 15)
I remember when I had the push to seek God. Beth helped push me to seek Him. There were times when I would cry out to God in my past for this or that, health issues with my skin or other pain I was experiencing. I kept seeking God in this process. However you need to seek Him, whether it is loud, quiet, crying, confused etc. He is there. You never know the timing God has planned, but He wants nothing more then YOU!
The day I experienced God personally and let Him into my life it was an instant relationship. He spoke to me: I have been with you through it all. Of course every relationship has to continue to be built, but that is the amazing part.
It can be hard to believe it is true until you expereince God personally. It takes faith to believe and still faith even not to believe that God is real and alive.
We have been blessed to stay at a camp along our tramping (hiking) trip. Experiencing really good food (an abundance as well), hot showers, laundry, and great fellowship. It is an amazing blessing after a week in the bush bathing in streams/waterfalls, eating small portioned meals of tuna, granola bars, peanut butter and jelly and pasta.
One of the workers here at camp was sharing stories about living on faith. He told a story about running short on money to buy food. They stepped forward in faith that God would provide. They went to the store and started filling up their cart/wagon with the food they needed, while calling the bank and hearing there is no money in your account. They kept stepping forward in faith. They stood in line to check out and called the bank one last time to hear there was money above and beyond what they needed at that moment.
It can be hard to understand faith and believe it is true untill you experience God personally. The beautiful thing about a relationship it is about choice, you have the choice to seek or not. God is there ready to constantly speak to you and be with you. It can be hard to also understand faith when you live with abundance, as America so often does. I challenge and encourage you to give generously to the poor and start living in faith that God will provide. It’s the one area in the Bible where God challenges us to try to out give Him.
We continue to seek God and He speaks clearly to us and for others and answers prayers. He knows your desires and rejoices in your happiness. God is good all the time!
