This month our main ministry has been prayer. Starting each
morning with prayer runs/workouts and taking shifts throughout the day to pray
for two hours at a time. Preceding this prayer ministry, our team felt the
heaviness of the spiritual atmosphere in Malaysia: headaches, body aches, cold
symptoms, the spirit of oppression, nightmares, no appetites, and even fainting.
We have learned a lot about the spiritual world lately. Something
before this year we did not necessarily believe in or sense. God definitely
opens your eyes to the things unseen. It is a gift we are given as we walk with
God.
This is our first country where the people worship a lot of
other gods and idols. Because of this there is a spiritual darkness that has taken over the area. While
seeking God we have all had an even bigger spiritual attack here compared to
the past three countries we have been in thus far.
We move forward learning more about God, more about how we
battle for the spiritual darkness to be gone and God’s spiritual light to
prevail. The battle has already been fought and won, but we need to claim God
over these countries, places, buildings, and people. The devil wants to be in
control. The minute we claim God as our creator and speak the truth: we are
children of God, we are created in the image of God; God’s light and power
prevails.
Once we started the prayer ministry, miracles started. Our
bodies and our minds did not feel under attack anymore and we witnessed others
gaining freedom in Christ (Set the Captives Free blog). New doors began to open for ministry here.
We continue to pray rotating from 7am to 12pm. We continue
to fight the spiritual battles here through Christ. There is power in individual
prayer and prayer in unity as a team. Satan wants to be in control of our
minds, body, and soul; he wants us to be self-centered and separate us from
God. It is amazing the power our words and actions have when we declare this
out loud. We declare that we are
ALL GOD’s CHILDREN OF LIGHT!
