I write today from the double door way of our new home. The path we have traveled was not free of obstacles or oppositions. Once we boarded the bus in Cancun what we thought was a 12 hour bus ride turned into a 14 hour bus ride with an extra 4 hour “layover” in a city called Villahermosa. We did not get into Palenque until 5am the next morning. I am now 14 hours of sleep and several showers removed from our 2 days of travel. I am fresh and can now put things into perspective.
Our initiation into this thing called The World Race came quicker than many of us expected.
I’m sure we all expected travel days to be long.
I’m sure we all expected to go many days with out showers.
I’m sure we expected to expect the unexpected.
What I’m now sure of more than anything is something was trying to get in our way.
Something does not want this squad in Palenque.
That something is the enemy.
It brings me great joy to watch as he trembles at the sight of God’s people.
All things big and small play a part and happen for a reason.
The resistance we met was an encouragement.
We are where God wants us.
As you follow us through out this year all I ask is to read in faith and always always always expect the unexpected. We will be here in for a the month living on the grounds of a local bible college. We are in the midst of training and will soon begin full time ministry. Thank you family and friends. Keep pressing in and lifting us up in prayer. We love and miss you all.
