As most of you already know, my first financial deadline is this week. If I do not reach $3,500 I would not be able to participate in my planned trip leaving this July. Of course we all know that if it is God's will, He will provide to make make sure it happens. With that said, I'm still human!

As the deadline approached I was filled with feelings of fear, concern, even doubt. It was then that God lead me in my devotions this weekend to Matthew 6: 31-34. There it tells us, "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?' . For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today."

Why was I worried about tomorrow, when God knew my needs, and knew how He would provide? And boy.. Did He provide!! Yesterday at church, during my Bible study, our teacher had me once again get in front of our class and give a brief description of my trip and needs for the trip. After we both finished he had my class, of about 80 people, gather around me, lay hands on me, and pray over me. Let me tell you.. If there was any doubt before if this was God's will for me, that was completely wiped away after that!!!

Can you just imagine?! For those few minutes we gathered as one, prayed, and the Spirit totally filled that room and everyone of us! There is not another feeling like that in the world!

After that they passed an envelop to take donations. The week before, when I originally spoke, we raised $500. That's huge!! But this week.. We raised $2,300!!!!!!!! Glory be to God! Needless to say, With those two donations, combined with other donations from family and friends, I HAVE MET MY FIRST DEADLINE!!!!!!! God is so good, and I am so grateful to Him, and the people He has put in my life who is helping make this trip possible!

I ask for continued prayer and support! And prayers for the other members of my squad as they may still be reaching to meet the first deadline. Many thanks to everyone involved in this journey with me! May God bless you!

I also just wanted to share something a good friend reminded me of this morning as we gathered for Bible study at his home. It is that even though I am the one taking this journey, by your support you will also receive the glory!

This trip is not about me, but about furthering God's kingdom! And that is exactly what I plan to do, with your help!

Many thanks,
Bri Legan
