If you know me, you have heard me say “ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a missionary” and that’s so true. I have also wanted to be other things and other things have shaped me into the person that I am. I have always been a runner, inspired by my parents and brother and their involvement in the sport. My Mom was my middle school coach and my Dad was my high school coach for both Cross Country and Track and Field. Needless to say they showed me how to love the sport and believe that I could have some success in it. Running is something I will always love, I was lucky enough to attend Spring Arbor University for two years and compete in Track and Field at the Collegiate level. It was an experience I won’t forget. It also helped me learn that any small dream of going to the Olympics to run is not in God’s plan… And that’s ok.

I have also had a huge interest in the medical field. At SAU I studied Psychology and Counseling along with some coursework in Nursing. While I ultimately want to be a missionary, I also want to work towards finishing up my degree, eventually using what I learned to help others, either in the U.S. or internationally.

And there you have it, my first blog post and a little bit about me.
