Hey all!
I feel as though so much has been happening in my life recently between work, world race prep, family and just living life that I rarely have time to slow down, think and process. But now that I finally have a few minutes I’d like so share just a few exciting things that have happened over the past few weeks…
1 We have a launch date! Until this past week when anyone asked me when I was leaving my response was always “Uhhhhh, January, sometime, ish….?” and NOW I can (and do) confidently exclaim, “JANUARY 7TH!!! I LEAVE JANUARY 7TH!!!!“ That is the day that my squad (U SQUAD) will meet at LAX and take our first flight together across the Pacific Ocean! I can’t believe that it is less than 2 months away!
2 In an attempt to provide an easy and inexpensive way for my friends/family (and strangers if they’re interested!) to donate toward my trip as well as have a chance to receive something awesome in return, I am giving away a 32GB iPad! I want everyone to have decent odds of actually winning this great prize, so I’ve decided to only sell 150 tickets, first come first served.

Donations made through my World Race blog are (as always!) incredibly appreciated, but do not qualify for the iPad campaign. A little about Far Flung Tin Can: this is a non-profit mission’s organization that was started in 2009 with the purpose of bridging the gap between the mission field and the Christian home. This is an incredible ministry that I love and believe in, and I would love for all of you to check out the website and read about the founder, Kyle Philippi, as well as all of the amazing missionaries who are featured!
3 A few countries on our route have changed! From the very start of this process the WR has stressed that being flexible is absolutely necessary, so some changes in our trip are to be expected. Luckily, I understand that there is always a reason that God puts us in specific places so I’m still super excited to be used wherever He has us go! Check out my HOME page for our updated countries 🙂
4 I’m still working toward my next support goals, which are: $5,000 by December 15th and $8,500 by January 5. These are the goals that are set by the World Race and I must meet them to continue on the January trip, although I would love to exceed them and raise as much money as possible before launching. If you would like to support my ministry financially to help me meet these goals, please look over How to Support my World Race. I want to thank everyone who has given so far, every time I see a new addition to my list of supporters I honestly just get so excited and so humbled all over again! To think that people believe in what we are doing and believe in me to be used by God is just incredible, a little terrifying, but all together wonderful. Please join me in praying for all of my needs to be supplied — I don’t doubt that they will because “if it’s His will, it’s His bill”!!!
