Alright America. I have a bone to pick with you.
For as long as I can remember, I've heard boys call girls crazy. Psycho. Say they are too emotional or too wrapped up in it or too sensitive. They cry too much. Care too much. Make a big deal of things that arent a big deal.
A guy doesnt call you when he says he will?- stop being so psycho. He probably forgot.
A friend said something mean about you behind your back? -Oh well, girls are mean sometimes.
You feel overweight because of societies completely unrealistic expectations?– oh well. you shouldnt eat so much.
Someone disrespects you by using a derogatory term?- Stop being such a feminist.
Someone blows you off or doesnt have any regard for your feelings– stop getting so mad youre being crazy.
Well world, like I said. I have a Bone to pick with you.
Those sensitive women? you know the ones who cry a lot or get upset easily? They are the mothers who held you as a baby when your scraped knees werent "that big a deal."
Those angry women? The ones who get mad about "little things?" -Those are the mothers, the sisters who stood up for you when you were small and couldnt stand up for yourself.
Those fat women? You know the ones who eat too much? -Those are the women who carried you for nine months. Those young fat girls? They are often, not always, but often victims of circumstance.
Those feminists? The ones who get angry when they are called a bitch or a slut? Those are women who are trying to make the world a better place. To make people realize what those words mean. Because trust me, if you have a daughter someday, you will not want some punk kid ruining her innocence by calling her a 'slut.'
Those women and girls you blow off and have no regard for?- They will someday be the ones carrying your children or your heart. and you wont like it when they 'forget' to call while lying on the table in labor.
Those crazy girls? You know the ones who freak out and get in a rage and do things completely unfathomable?- they are the mothers who lift cars off of their children, who would go face to face with an angry lion before letting it get to her child.
Those girls who cry too much? -They are the mothers or friends or wives who will someday cry for you, when your own tears just cant come.
And boys, please remember. You were once a child. Who needed a sensitive, sometimes angry, emotional mother, woman, who raised you.
Yeah all of us women, we are connected. God gave us a lot of special qualities. He gave us a connection. We are one, us women.
So women as well, stop putting each other down. All it does is give men permission to do the same.
God made women the way he did for a reason. This is not an excuse for the female kind to do whatever they please. Not at all. They should also respect and cherish men.
God made women more 'sensitive' so they could understand the needs of a childs heart.
God gave women the ability to be extremely and even scarily angry, to protect at all costs.
God made women accountable. So they could hold themselves to love and respect their husbands, and therefore receive the same.
I am strong yet sensitive, I am kind but protective, I am a person and I am a GIRL.
