So as most of you know, our first financial deadline is in a couple weeks. Sept. 26th to be exact. I wanted to share something with you all that truly touched my heart. I was laying in bed and just before trying to fall asleep, I decided to check my World Race fund to see if a check I had sent went through. What I had seen was truly amazing. Now before y’all get too excited thinking that someone donated enough to cover the whole trip or even enough for the first deadline, I want to clarify by saying that is not the case. I am still quite a ways from even the first deadline, but all will come in time. That being said, someone anonymously donated $5. This absolutely blew my mind! For someone to be willing and wanting to help so much, that they would take the time and put the thought into donating 5 dollars, really meant a lot to me. What I see in that, is someone who had such a heart for me and what I’m doing that they wanted to do whatever they could do to help, even if it meant giving $5. I would imagine that in their mind, they were probably thinking, “It’s not much, but it’s all I can do right now and I want to help.” Well I just want to thank that person for that, because that is the type of heart that will change lives, and the world. By doing something that we think is minuscule, God can make it into something massive! It may only be five bucks to you, but to me, it’s one step closer to helping those in need, one step closer to a calling, and one step closer to having to chance to make a positive impact on a broken world. You are apart of that!

Throughout this whole fundraising thing, I have noticed almost a common theme, that if a person who wants to support me financially cannot donate what they deem as a “substantial” amount, they then think that anything else would be inadequate, so they don’t at all. My hope with this blog post, is that any who have a heart to partner with me in this calling, but are afraid or think that what they have to offer would be inadequate, would know that there is no such thing as inadequate if it comes from the heart. Whether it’s $5 or $5000, all of you who had the heart, the love, the burden to support me prayerfully and financially have made such an impact on not only me, but will have an impact on countless people around the world. If all you can do right now is be in prayer with me over this trip, I want you to know that, that is more than enough! What is important is the heart that you have as my partner because I desperately need BOTH! Don’t miss out on being a part of something great because of fear or insecurity. That has been a life lesson for me.

So, to all those who have donated large amounts, or committed to a monthly gift, THANK YOU!
You are giving me confidence that I need as the financial deadlines approach and are a physical manifestation of the favor that The Lord has given me in this.

To those who have donated what they could and one time gifts, THANK YOU! Your heart has touched mine deeply and given me great joy.

To those who have been earnestly praying for and encouraging me, THANK YOU! You have given me the courage and strength to embark on this journey.

What ever part you have played, you are such a Blessing to me! You are ALL helping me get there. You are my partners. By supporting me in any capacity, you are taking part in something much bigger than you can imagine. Because from 5 to 5000, you are the hands and feet of The Lord. THANK YOU and be blessed!
