A few stories about the villages that we went to:

At the second village, we just got done going from house to
house sharing the gospel. The people that were “Evangelical Christians” weren’t
even excited that we were there and it was very strange. Then through God’s
never ending divine appointments, we
met the pastor from the Evangelical/Pentecostal Church. I was super excited,
but to my disappointment, she was wrapped up in the law and that through the
law, you were saved. Therefore she rebuked our women, because they were wearing
pants, which only men can wear. Also, earrings and exposing any arm or leg was
a sin. No wonder no one in the village went to church!

I was depressed and didn’t want to go on any further. But we
pressed on and out of the corner of my eye, I saw two men. I waved and they, and
to my surprise, they waved back! So I told my team to make their way over to
these men. To my surprise, this guy starts preaching truth to us! Telling us
that it doesn’t matter what is on the outside, but what is on the inside! He
was preaching truth and it made me super excited! The thought of having a house
church in this village excited him and I could see this man being a potential
pastor of the house church (that might be planted there soon). This made me
super excited!! Thanks God for that lift!
(the man in the green shirt is the one that I think is the future pastor!)

In the next village, we did a lot of prayer walking and
waiting on God’s Calling/Leading. Some people would come out and talk to us and
invite us in. We found a church that was legit, and we also found a man that
wanted a Bible, so we hitchhiked to
save money to buy a Bible for this man! He was super excited! We also found
another pavilion, which was used by the church to reach more people! It was so
encouraging! We also were invited into a witchdoctors house, now that was
weird. The one girl on our team that spoke Spanish shared the gospel to her.
Then we prayed and left. We planted the seed, which is what our job was for
this month. We are not sure if it is going to grow or not, but that was our job
this month, seed planting.

The last village that we went to, as you probably read my
last blog, was one where we actually camped at. We had to find a place to stay,
cook, and use the bathroom. So we started walking around from house to house,
sharing the gospel, and trying to discern if there was a “son of peace” (Luke
10:6), because we wanted to find a place to put up our tents! Anyways, it was
an amazing two days there. Ministry during the day/ debrief and worship during
the night. We were going to stay for a third day, but our ministry contact said
that we were going to leave a day early. He was just being sensitive to the
Holy Spirit and His leading, which is so amazing! Yeah, there was some crazy
stuff there.
(this was our team in the village…we got lots of gifts!)
