MANistry, meaning man ministry. All the guys on my quad (13
men) are together in Thailand. We are in the west Thailand jungle, surrounded
by mountains. This place is so beautiful!! (And yes, this is my 2nd time in Thailand…but it was 11 countries in 11 months…yes, but also I have to give up expectations. right?! no expectations. 10 countries is JUST fine! haha)
We have been doing ALL types of random jobs: hand spreading
goat and pig poop, pruning tapioca plants, filling potholes on the road with
dirt, leveling dirt floors, making, mixing, and pouring cement, cleaning up the
yard, goat herding, cutting grass with machetes (weed whackers are a great
invention), helping make food, cleaning up, encouraging people in the
community, speaking God’s Words to people, preaching, building relationships,
and much, much more! Also, at the end of the day we are super tired, so what do
we do? Yup, go out and play soccer! It’s been really fun, since I LOVE soccer
and what has been super cool is that the locals are playing with us! It’s
great!!
Also, the food is amazing. I mean it’s Thailand…what would
you expect? Haha!
It’s also been really cool being with 12 other men. I’ve
been having 1-on-1’s with all of them to try to get to know them better and see
where the Lord is leading them and what they are learning. I have been learning
so much from them! It’s also neat to worship with them and have in-depth talks
about where we all are and where the Lord is guiding us. Yeah, it’s so good! I
love it! It’s totally different than what I expected! Praise the Lord!!
