So I needed to have $5,000 in my account by December 15th.
Did I? No way, Jose! There were checks in the mail that I think will get me to
my first deadline, so for now, I think I’m good to go…haha
Anyways, it’s been amazing to see how the Lord has worked in
people’s lives, in a financial way. I have always heard people say, “Some of the
people that support me are the ones I would have never expected.” Usually, I just nod in agreement, just to be kind.
So now I’m in that same seat; I am blown away from the people that have given! I
could name so many examples. I did not expect anything from my college friends,
I mean come on, college debt sums it up! But it’s amazing how my age friends
are supporting me! Also, other missionaries…are you kidding me? They need all
the money they can get for their own ministry, but yet again, I’m amazed, and
they gave to.
Anyways the group of people that keeps me going: The group
of 1st-6th grade’ers’ at Salvation Army Church in
Boyertown. They are collecting money for me that they find during the day. Wow,
so encouraging! When I was their age, I would have never given MY found money
to this crazy kid that is going around the world to do missions, but these
kids, THEY GET IT.
It’s hard to believe, but when I was younger I did not want
my parents to support a child through Compassion International or give a poor
child a Christmas gift. It was my money…well would be mine in my inheritance. I
am so ashamed I ever thought that, but that’s what I thought, that’s the
mindset I had…I thought all about me and how I could get ahead. Obviously my
mindset has changed and to see these kids get it at such a young age is
amazing!!
Thanks-a-bunch for your support and sacrifice
This is the picture that I thought about when I heard that I
am a vessel.
2 Timothy 2:19-21//Romans
9: 20-23
I know it looks silly, but
I am just a vessel.
