day, which was from Guatemala
to Thailand
and that was a fun trip! We actually skipped June 1, 2011 because we crossed
the international date-line…that was exciting! I’ll post a video of that later.
So I got this travel bag from the airplane and it was the best thing EVER! I
got:
toothbrush and toothpaste: to brush my teeth anywhere I want to brush them
comb: to comb my beard
eye mask: so I can sleep…anytime
earplugs: I haven’t used them yet
and the bag/pouch is perfect for storing things! I love it! It’s the nicest
thing ever! Well…not ever…but it’s cool, because it met a lot of my “wants.” Haha
We are in Thailand
and we had two days in Bangkok
and it was a beautiful place. We actually stayed in the YWAM (Youth With A
Mission) base. There was an amazing market place with TONS OF FOOD and lots of
stuff to see, which was fun to walk around. We also visited some Buddhist
temples and did some prayer walking. It was a very beautiful place, but I felt
lost. I don’t know how to explain how I feel. I journaled a lot in the past few
days, and there is a lot I have to say, but I don’t know how to verbalize or
express it. Ugh, I’m sorry…
I will say that Asian culture is really amazing and I like
it a lot!
Then we got on a bus to go to Chiang Mai, which was 10 hours
north of Bangkok.
The place we are staying at is AMAZING!! It is almost a nicer place than the
house that I lived at back in the States! Wowzers! I have been complaining
recently about not having a dresser to put my clothing in, and…well now…I have
a dresser to put my clothing in!! and I took a hot shower!!!!!! This place is
really nice! We are going to be working with some college students, teaching
English classes, working at a cafe, going into bars and talking with men [that
are lost] and women [that are stuck in prostitution] (men talk with men, women
talk with women), going to the slums, and maybe some other stuff. It’s going to
be a really good month and I’m excited to see what going to happen! Please be
praying for me 🙂
Oh and our team has a “Real Life”er (World Race Exposure
trip). Her name is Kayla and she is 19 and from Texas and is ON FIRE FOR GOD! It’s awesome!
She is just with us for one month 🙁
Oh, and here is a
video about where we lived in El
Salvador (below)
… sorry I was sort of all over the place on this blog…just
know that God is doing some AMAZING THINGS in my life and is using me like
crazy…and…I love it!
