So if you look back in my blogs, you will find a blog
called, “What is success?” and at the end I said, “I don’t know!!” refresh
yourself:http://brentfrederick.theworldrace.org/?filename=what-is-success

I had some options:
how many people I help
how many crowns I get in heaven
how many, how many, how many…

Well I finally think I found out what it is. it’s LOVE.

Yup, love. Now the world has changed love from an ACTION to
an EMOTION. Love is not how many girl or boyfriends you have had. It’s not how
many roses you gave them. It’s not that feeling you get when you like someone.
Love never gives up. Love
cares more for others than for self.
Love
doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love
doesn’t strut,
doesn’t have a swelled head,
doesn’t force itself on others, isn’t always “me first,” doesn’t
fly off the handle
, doesn’t keep score of
the sins of others,
doesn’t revel when
others grovel,
takes pleasure in the
flowering of truth,
puts up with anything,
trusts God always, always
looks for the best,
never looks back, but keeps going to the end.

Yeah that’s what love is (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). And I’ll
give you a hit: it’s tough. It really is. If it is easy to love, then you
probably aren’t loving. [while you are online, google: Matthew 5: 43-48]. Look
at that colorful list again. Do you do
that to EVERY PERSON? ALL THE TIME? Probably not. It’s hard and I will be the first to admit that I do not
do everything on that list all the time. I try. And when I mess up, I get back
up again and try, try, try again. Love is a tough thing.

Rethink what “I love you” means. Think about it the next
time you say it. Do you [colorful list] them?

What made me really think about this is because I watched
the movie “A
Beautiful Mind
.” Wow, that was a great movie! Look at what the wife did.
If she did not stick with him, he would not have gotten the Nobel Prize. But
no, she stayed with him, FOR BETTER OR WORSE [those words sound familiar?]. She
could have left and “lived a ‘better’ life,” but she loved him…like TURE loved
him. She colorful list loved him.

Now I don’t
want to make this blog too long, but let’s look at God. I could keep talking
about this, but to make this short: HE IS LOVE.
like…IS love. He send His Son, Jesus, to die the death that I should have died.
He took the punishment I should have got. Yeah, He colorful list‘s me. 1st John 4: 9
and 10
: God showed how much He loved us by sending His only Son into
this world to bring to us eternal life though His death. In this act we see
what REAL LOVE is: it is not our love for God, but His love for us when He sent
His Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to
our relationship with God.  and verses 18 and 19: We need to have no fear of
someone who loves us perfectly; His perfect love for us eliminates all fear and
dread of what He might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what He
might do to us, and shows that we are not fully convinced that He really loves
us. So you see, our love for Him comes as a result of His loving us first.
