I am currently sitting in an airport in Panama City, wondering why I am awake. We have been up since 4:30. We are flying to Medellin, Colombia today, hometown of Juanes (Google “La Camisa Negra”). And of course, Colombia is also Shakira country, except she’s from Barranquilla. After spending the night, tomorrow team Fuente is off to Cartagena to do sports ministry. It’s on the beach and word on the street is that it’s goooorgeous. I’m excited.
We have had a glorious last few days in Panama City with the whole squad for Leadership Development. I went to the Canal yesterday and saw boats pass through. It was pretty cool and yes, I will post pictures. I got some good ones. I’ve been able to see people that I have been separated from for a month. Very special moments: seeing how the Lord is working and growing in members of my former team, hearing stories of other teams and the crazy things God has been doing, leading musical worship with Ashley Francis before the alumni squad leaders heades back to the states, sitting on Patrick’s shoulders at the Panama Canal, reuniting and hugging the life out of former Dar Vida–the list goes on and on. We almost didn’t find a place to have this special time, but the Lord provided at the right moment. And oh, how He loves me. How He shows me through what seems like the little things.
Next stop, SOUTH AMERICA!!!!
Feeling blessed,
