One of the first places that we visited in Jerusalem was the Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall. Priscilla did a wonderful job of organizing the trip and acting as tour guide! When we arrived at the Wall she told us that many of the Orthodox Jews who visit the Wailing Wall pr-y through the entire book of Psalms! Yeah. So she recommended that we pr-y through some Psalms and just see what God was saying to us.
We only had about an hour to spend there, so I began by journaling a little; basically pr-ying and telling my Daddy how I was feeling. I definitely didn’t feel any closer to Him by being at the Wall; it’s just a place. It was so good, though, to be able to just sit there for an hour to pr-y. I also wrote out a pr-yer to stick in the cracks of the wall like so many others do; it’s all a part of the experience!I then began reading through some Psalms; basically I just opened my B-ble to the Psalms and started reading and then flipped through a couple that I knew and wanted to re-read. G-d definitely was speaking to me there and I want to share some of that with you because I really felt that His words apply to me, to my family’s current situation, and may also be of benefit to anyone else who may read this.

Psalm 27:14
“Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!”Psalm 28:6-7 “Blessed be the LORD! for He has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.”
Psalm 30:11-12 “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing Your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give tanks to you forever!”
Psalm 34:7-10 “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! …those who fear Him have no lack! …those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.”
Psalm 34:17-19 “When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.”
Psalm 37:3-7a “Trust in the LORD, and do good: dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him…”
