“Anyone else sweaty after worship” says Danni.

Those few words got me thinking, as funny as they were it really struck a cord in my heart. How often do we actually get sweaty for the Lord? Like literally? Does God even want us to get sweaty for Him? The answer is yes!

God wants us to LOVE Him with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4) And in order to do that, were gonna need to tie our shoes nice and tight and get to work. If you put your whole strength into something your bodies natural response is to sweat. Working out, playing sports, lifting cars off the ground etc. If we sweat then, imagine if we are also giving our whole hearts and our whole soul to something. That would radically transform the way we go about life.

I am beginning to truly realize that worship is not only singing a song and praising Him with your mouth. Worship can be a lifestyle. Every little thing we do throughout the day, if we are giving it our all, if we are sweating for the Lord in it, thats worship.

Throughout the first seven months of the Race God has blessed me with not needing a lot of sleep. I can operate a okay with just 6 hours. Which seems pretty normal for in the States but in the missions field, lemme tell ya it’s not!  Everyday we are on our toes and have to respond to situations that are thrown at us, we can never turn off for even a second. The language barrier is the least of our concerns on the field. We are stretched everyday and opportunities are thrown at us like dodgeballs during gym class. We get hit hard every now and again. But darn it we get back up and go right back in. We get super sweaty everyday, our clothes will never be the same. In the heat of it all the sweat is us acting in worship constantly. Crazy because….

We need the sweat to actually cool us down.

If we weren’t sweating for the Lord our bodies would over heat and die! No questions asked we would not be able to handle this without sweating. Literally at this point, worshiping the Lord is keeping us alive. I haven’t been able to get that outta my mind. I can’t survive without sweating for the Lord, it’s what’s needed to keep my heart beating.

And that same heart that I give is providing strength to my body and life to my soul.

As I head into the home stretch on this crazy adventure, I wanna push the limits. I wanna be so tired at the end of the day that the moment I hit the hard floor that I am sleeping on, my eyes cannot stay open. In such constant worship what when I am not sweating, I feel uncomfortable. Completely flipping around my reality on what worship should like and how it’s a lifestyle not a Sunday morning thing.

Thank you Danni for being sweaty and rubbing some off on me!
