It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post, but I thought I’d update everyone best I can. I left Atlanta on Monday at 5:30 PM and from there we landed in London and had a 10 hour layover. In London we went to Central London and saw the Buckingham Palace and walked around for a little while, which was absolutely amazing. From there, we flew to South Africa and had an 11 hour layover there and then flew to Lusaka and stayed in a hostel near by over night and left the next morning on a bus for an 8 hour bus ride to Livingstone. So after four days of travel you can imagine my team and I were extremely exhausted and ready to have a place to call home. Since being in Livingstone, I have already met so many amazing kids, attempted learned how to hand wash my clothes, and learned to appreciate cold showers. It’s so crazy how you realize how much you have to be thankful for once you lose all of it. Life in Africa is and adjustment but it’s so so worth it. I’m so thankful that God chose me to be here when he did, and I can’t wait to see what all he has planned for me while I’m here. I’m also in love with the culture and how important community is here. Life moves so slowly here and everyone moves at their own speed and it makes you appreciate not having to think about the nest task on an endless to-do list or having to rush from place to place. It’s so peaceful to move on Gods timing in life rather than our own. But that’s all for now, I’ll probably be posting every Saturday to keep everyone updated. Also we have a team mate that had to go home due to sickness, so she is home resting now but we’re hoping she can join us on the field again soon so if y’all can pray for healing for Bailey that would be amazing!
Love and miss you guys back at home! Scot,Mom,Dad,Granny,Ray Ray,Nanny,Papa,Uncle Tim,Tracy,Haylee,&Hayden
