Cambodia is the country that I hadn’t given much thought to until I was actually here. I still don’t know much about Cambodia, but we’ve been here for a week and a half and I’m already in love.

In Colombia, Ecuador, and Thailand we were in the mountains. The mountains were beautiful and it was so fun to live in such a different terrain from Iowa, but I started to miss the big blue sky, beautiful sunsets, and cornfields for as long as the eye could see.

Since we’ve been in Cambodia I think I’ve said, “wow, Jesus must really love me” around 100 times. This place feels and looks like home.

Not only is Cambodia beautifully flat, but where we are living has a rooftop where we get to watch the sunrise and sunset. I get to wake up each morning in my hammock to THIS. BEAUTIFUL.

Also, we get to ride bikes as our form or transportation around Battambang! I LOVE cycling and the fact that I get my very own bike for the next two months is probably my favorite this that has happened on the race so far.

One of my New Year’s goals has been to post a blog each week, so here’s to my 3rd week in a row! I didn’t really know what to write about, but every once in awhile I find myself thinking about how I haven’t slept in a bed since the beginning of November or how I haven’t actually had a moment of being truly alone since September and I decided I wanted to share with you all of the super fun and positive things about my life right now.

I’m excited for what Cambodia has in store for us. We are officially halfway through the race, and I cannot believe it. Sometimes it feels like it’s been forever that I’ve been doing this, but most of the time it feels like it has gone by in the blink of an eye.

Please be praying for our ministry and for my own personal growth throughout the next 5 months! So much has already happened, but I know that there are amazing things in store for our time in Cambodia and Albania!
