AGE: 23 (well, now 24!)

NATIONALITY: USA

“Ohhhh, hey girl. Didn’t see you there.”

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

·      Two words: PEANUT BUTTER. Never have I ever met anyone in this life who loves peanut butter more than Nicole Smith. She would eat the jar in one sitting if I left her with it long enough (not to say I wouldn’t be around to help her, but I’m just saying…)

·      She loves to bake! And boy, can she bake. Desserts are my favorite, and those are her favorite to make, so maybe you’re starting to see why we get along so well.

·      She loves the animals. Well, not bugs, but definitely dogs. Okay, mostly she just loves dogs, because she doesn’t really like cats either.

·      She’s from North Carolina, and she’s definitely a southern girl at heart: case and point, she says ya’ll a lot and her favorite restaurant is Crackle Barrel.

·      She is slowly becoming a master of Spanish. She can tell anyone to “tenga un buen dia,’ with the very best of them.

·      She’s worked at a pharmacy for (I think) over 7 years? And she went to school for accounting…but she’s not super into it. I think God has other things in store for her! 😉

That time we got smoothies with our awesome translator Moises and Nicole made me take a picture of her

That time we beat Craig at 5v1 basketball

That time we were walking to church in Panama and the struggle was JUST SO REAL

That time we jumped off a dock in Nicaragua and got mad air and it was really fun

That time I caught Nicole in the act with her boyfriend, I mean, her cone of gelato

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT NICOLE:

·      The way she laughs at all my jokes (even when they’re not that funny).

·      The way she loves people! It’s amazing to watch, and definitely inspiring in that it makes you want to open up your heart to people as well.

·      That she let’s me eat of her plate and doesn’t yell at me for it (…most of the time).

·      She’s great with kids! The ninos love Nicole and she loves them. I would be surprised if working with kids and teens isn’t in her future at some point.

That time Nicole was super obsessed with me on top of a mountain/hill in Honduras

That other time Nicole was super obsessed with me on top of another mountain/hill in Honduras

FAVORITE MEMORY: Ohhhhhh, man. I don’t even know. We’ve gone on some great prayer walks and been invited into churches, we’ve cooked some delicious salads and eaten way too many cookies and had movie nights and played soccer-tennis and done a lot of praying in-between all of that, but my favorite memory would probably have to be that time (right after a lizard fell right on her face while she was showering), that she walked into our room and looked at her bed and saw a big, dead lizard right on her bed. Right on her bed. Then, later in Nicaragua, a lizard fell into her luggage. It was just too good. Too good!

That time we almost broke the hammock in Nicaragua

That time we stood on the beach and contemplated the meaning of life

FUN FACTS:

·      Nicole has a brother in the marine’s (pretty snazzy!)

·      She loves flannels. I mean, the girl loves her flannels.

·      We once bought her a really nice shirt for her birthday and she immediately tore a giant hole in the armpit #callingherout

·      She and I are the proud owners of what I would probably call two of the absolute best looking wind-breakers this side of the equator (if not the entire world).

·      She has two cats at home, and guess what they’re names are? Peanut…and butter.

·      She’s the best, and I love her very much!

And know you know Nicole. You’re welcome!
