Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! My life is changing in a pretty massive way and I wanted to fill you guys in. As this past summer semester was coming to a close and I finished final exams, I was addressed with some financial roadblocks for the next semester. Not knowing what to do, I dropped all of my future classes and spent the next few weeks trying to decide what this fall would look like for me. I am now aware that this is a season of working and waiting. As most of you know, I became passionate about global missions when I was in high school and even ventured out to South Africa after graduation. It was a short trip, but my worldview was broadened and my passion for the nations grew tremendously.
Two weeks ago, the Lord opened the door for an extraordinary opportunity! Starting in January of 2014, I will serve as a missionary through Adventures in Missions, in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month missions trip to 11 different countries around the world. My team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, and minister to women and children who are victims of human trafficking. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self- discovery, my dependence on the Lord will be challenged daily and I am beyond excited to see how it all unfolds.
Although it is a huge leap of faith, I’m choosing to trust that the Lord will teach me, use me, and provide my every need. I am confident that this is what I’ve been called to for the next year and I want you to be apart of my journey! I write to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $15,500 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If just 20 people donate $50 a month for the next eight months that would cover over half of my funds! Listed below are my financial deadlines for this journey:
$3,500 – Due 10/08/2013 (week of Training Camp)
$7,000 – Due 12/18/2013 (2 weeks prior to my trip)
$11,000 – Due 4/1/2014 (End of 3 months on the field)
$15,500 – Total Due 7/1/2014 (End of 6 months on the field)
I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year! I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you.
