We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip.  Here is what I’m expecting…

Admittedly, I am writing this after a couple days at training camp in which we were required to release all of our expectations regarding our teams, the race route and everything in between.  Expectations can be a scary thing as they create space for you to be let down.  But I suppose then it depends on whose expectations you are living.

In a sentence…I’m expecting to be utterly amazed.  I’m going into this race with a completely surrendered heart and open arms.

Created space…for the work of my Father.

But if I’m honest – I almost daily echo the words of Moses found in Exodus 33:18…

“I pray You, show me Your glory!”

In 11 countries…around the world…among the poorest of the poor…the downtrodden…the hurting…

I expect to see His glory.
