If you are on this page you now know that I am going on a journey across the world to spread the love of God to others. One question that I often ask God is what does your love look like in any given situation in a day. I know this one thing that God’s love doesn’t see color, religion, race, intelligence or skill, but that his love is boundless and reaches out to every heart that is willing to open itself to him. Ive done a lot of ministry here in the US and I’ve enjoyed much of it, but the reason I have chosen this trip is to go outside my comfort zone and my culture to see what God is doing in the world to show his love.
I remember a worship song in which the singer states ” I want to live abandoned, I want to live wholly devoted to you.” When this young lady sang that chorus it has rang in my ears ever since. What does that look like? What does it look like to live a life so given to God and loving others that nothing else matters but to do his will? Honestly from a day to day stand point it can be scary because your mind tells you what if your rejected or cast out; what if you actually have to trust God enough to take care of you?!
Jesus told his twelve disciples to only take one pair of sandles and only the clothes they were wearing and go out into the world and tell others of his great love. In the bible it seems easy and in our minds it seems like a nice little story, but what if God wanted that from us today what would we do? In my case im pretty independent and im used to working and taking care of myself in every way. So if Jesus asked me to do that it would be pretty hard at first.
That’s why i decided to join this race. I want to know what it means to live a life wholly devoted to him. I’m not going to lie it has not been an easy process thus far, but i have such a hope and expectancy that God is going to pave my way. I am wrecked for just an ordinary life because I’ve tasted the goodness of God and i can never go back to where i was before. If you read this post i ask for your prayers and encouraging thoughts and if you want to help me on my journey i would be very thankful, but most of all i want you to go on this journey with me! Its time for us to see the world through Gods eyes of love and change it for the better. Their is enough negativity everywhere right now to suffocate a person, but what if we chose to make a positive impact with our words and actions. I truly believe that one kind word or act can change a persons life forever. Speak life and try to see the best in every person! Love recklessly even if theirs a chance you might get hurt. Life is short and has a lot of twists and turns so live it to your fullest and let God shine through!
