What is up family!! So as you know, I’m in Costa Rica and this has been the first official week of life here in this amazing country. We are set up in San Jose, Costa Rica. We have an amazing staff here at the base. Kevin and Ana are great hosts and have been so good in showing us the ropes. We started of the week with some orientation because although we are brave and all….racers still need help. Lol. Thursday and Friday we had the amazing opportunity to start doing ministry at a site called Proyecto Abraham! Serving the construction workers by doing anything they need from. For example this week we sanded walls inside apartments that will be used for single mothers who need housing. The second half of the time we spent at a local skatepark, loving on a group of skaters who the people don’t really acknowledge at all. I’m now realizing how much of a tool my second language is. It has allowed me to connect with these men who are about the same age as us. I can’t stand back and just look at someone live lonely. The Holy Spirit compels me to go and share with them. I’m constantly blown away by how the Father reminds me of my past, and how I can use it to extend love to others. He says “that me growing up in a not such a safe neighborhood has allowed me to experience what these men are experiencing.” Which I’ve learned to embrace. If Jesus wasn’t ever in a comfortable situation, then why should I be??

Squad Z is an energetic, explosive, honorable, humble and wise squad. Who doesn’t take the gospel lightly. Each of us has put our “American dream” on hold to follow the Lord’s will. And we will spread the love of Jesus to those who have never received it. So thank you for partnering with us on a mission that has the greatest value of any mission. God bless.
