Asking for money from people is simply impolite. I was taught by my parents that “It’s rude!” We are usually taught that if we want money, you go work for it and earn your money yourself, and that we should NEVER resort to begging to get money. We should have some pride and a sense of self respect for ourselves!

This is how I viewed fundraising for a LONG time. It was glorified begging to me. I mean come on, you’re going up to someone, asking for money, and to make matters “worse”, you won’t be giving that money back because it’s a “donation”.

“Well,” I thought to myself, “you won’t ever see me on my legs beggin’ for money!”

. . . Well surprise, surprise.

Fundraising is by no means begging and these donations, I am gathering for my trip, are not going to somethig that physically benefits me in the common sense. Keeping me alive so that I can minister and help others in these other countries? YES!

I obviously see the purpose of donations and fundraising in a much different light now, especially when it comes to mission trips. This isn’t about me. This is about asking people to invest in the kingdom of God. You heard me. When you donate you are INVESTING INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. Take a moment to wrap your heads around that, reader.

So tomorrow is going to be a new experience for me as I go around and call people to see if they would want to help fund me. For me this is a nerve racking thing, but in order to raise the sufficient funds (16 THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!) I NEED to do this.

But PLEASE just pray that everything will be taken care of and I go into this calm, collected, and trusting God with the results. Thank you for all your guys support!

However,

If any of you KIND and VERY GOOD LOOKING, as well as INTELLIGENT READERS (this would be you!!), (No, I am not at all above flattery) want to save me a phone call , feel free to donate to my trip here at my blog by clicking on the “Support Me!” button at the top of the page  ! lol (Can I use an “lol” on this thing?)

Thank you again for your prayers, thoughts, and encouragements reader!

Till the next blog,
I pray you have a great day wherever you are in the world!

God Bless, and goodnight!
