In Albania we are working with program called Revive through a Nazarene Church. We are going to work with high school kids, establishing relationships with them and helping with whatever the church needs. This month my team and I are living with a widow, Flora and her daughter, Alba. The daughter is our translator for mom, who knows little English. It’s fun learning some Albanian. Flora helps with the children’s ministry at the church we are working with. It’s crazy because as a team we read through James last month and it talks about how important it is to care for the orphans and widows and here we are!!
The next three weeks we are working with Pastor Rodi who has never had a World Race team before. He’s been a pastor for 3 years. We are also working with his friend Arvin, they are both English teachers at the school. Rodi doesn’t have financial support for the church so he pays for the church out of pocket. His vision for the church is to bring revival, to bring life wherever the church goes. He likes to build relationships with kids from school. He introduces them to the Lord through inviting them to youth group and loving them well. The guys we are working with are so great; they’re hilarious and just radiate the love of the Lord through laughter and the way they interact with the children.
I would love for you to join me in praying for this ministry this month. They need more dedicated teens to help with youth group, as they get older they usually leave. Pray for more seeds to be planted, seeds of love and joy in the hearts of everyone we interact with. Pray that the pastor continues to listen to the Lords voice in his life. Pray for the widow that we are living with for the month. Pray that she is continually loved be those around her and that she continues to pursue Jesus with all her heart. Pray over Alba and her heart for the Lord. Pray happiness, protection and blessings shower over that home. Pray for financial support to come in for the church and for the church to multiply in BIG ways!
