I don’t really have anything worth mentioning, except for my God who constantly amazes me, a family who truly cares about me, and friends who love me for who I am.

For right now though I am going to talk about my amazing God and how He, through one random act of kindness confirmed that I am walking in His will and that He will always provide for me.

As you all know I have been accepted to be a part of the World Race Gap Year and you may also know that to officially commit to the World Race you have to put in deposit of $100, but what you may not know is how hard it was for me to part with that $100. On the Saturday night that I put down my $100 deposit I had a whopping $135 to my name and I was in no hurry to part with it. Putting down that deposit meant that I was committing to spend 9 months outside of my comfort zone, it meant that I was giving up control of my life, it meant that I was trusting God with all that I had, it meant I was saying yes to letting Jesus truly live through me. To say the least, it was a battle putting down that deposit, but what the following day brought I was not prepared for at all. I got to church a little bit early that morning to spend some time in the Word and while I was sitting in the lobby one of the piano players for the church starts talking to me just asking how I was doing and what I was up to this semester. I told him that I was working this semester and helping out with the Wesley on campus and after that he left to go get ready for the service. Shortly after he left I got up and went to the service. After the service as I was waiting to talk to the pastor the same guy who I had just talked to before came up to me shook my hand and walked off, and as he was walking off I looked down in my hand where he had placed a $100 in my hand. He did not know about the World Race, he did not know that I had just committed the night before, i’m not even sure how he knew my name. But what I am sure of is that God sent that man to me to put my fears and doubts to rest and to confirm His calling me to the the World Race.

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all time, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
