Jesus touched me in a most beautiful moment in Nepal.
Every Friday while in Nepal we would meet together with our squad and with all of our new brothers and sisters for Shabbot Shalom, which means peace and rest. We start out the night by sharing a meal together, which is always delicious by the way. Following the meal is a time of fun! For the last Shabbot Shalom we hosted a lip sync battle! Afterwards we have a time of worship, someone shares their testimony, and then someone gives a message from the Word.
With the business of everything going on you can easily lose yourself in the mass of people that were there. With 70+ people there it’s easy to miss the small things. But it is with one of these small things, or rather small ones, that Jesus spoke to me.
Everyone meet Apsara!
So the last Shabbot Shalom that we were at before leaving my throat had been hurting me all day, so I decided to fast from talking to rest my voice. When Apsara found out that my throat was hurting and that’s why I wasn’t talking. So she immediately took me by the hand and said, “come, come, I pray for you.” and proceeded to pull me to my knees, and started praying for me.
I couldn’t stop the tears that fell as she placed her hand on my throat and talked to Father and asked him to heal my throat. During that prayer Jesus reminded me of something he said to the disciples.
“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” ~Matthew 18:3-4
As Apsara prayed for me I said to Jesus, ‘I am no greater than her, would you give me faith like her.’
