So me and my girlfriend Sarah have this thing that whenever anything ridiculous happens to me she just looks me in the eye and says “only you, only you” That being said, I somehow find myself playing drums on the worship team in the basement of a Moldovan church… I have had zero aspiration to ever play the drums let alone in front of people. Which beckons the question. “Well why did you volunteer?” I DIDN’T! I don’t know what happened, we’re sitting in a meeting on our first day in this church and I was admittedly looking out the window only paying half attention and then BAM next thing I know is that I have been volunteered by the church pastor to play the drums.  Being in complete shock all I did was sit there with my mouth wide open. I couldn’t find any words to say. So the pastor sits back in his chair and I am now the drummer in a worship band in Moldova. It was almost like something out of a movie. I had to go up and play an instrument that I had no idea how to play in front of people. I felt like it was some kind of a Jack Black movie or something. I went for it, and it wasn’t all that bad. I didn’t really go for anything big, actually I did the exact opposite. I stayed on the snare drum and that was pretty much it. Just trying to channel the hundreds of drummers that I know back home. Oh and I didn’t use drum sticks, I played the snare like a jambeau only using my hands. Sometimes you step out in great faith and God rewards you, other times you are tossed under the bus in confusion and well, God will protect you still.
