How much time do we actually spend building our treasures in Heaven? I was told a good way of asking yourself that today it was TEMP just take your TEMP and you'll be able to tell. Time, Where do you spend most of your time? Where is your Time going? Energy, where are you spending most of your energy? Money, where is your Money going? Are you spending all of your money on your self or are you giving some Money back to where you got it from?(by the way that's from God, everything we have is from God not us) lastly Passions, what is your Passion, where is your heart? I never really thought of it like that, the teaching that this came up in was on Matthew 6:19-21

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

If you've been a Christian for at least a year I'm sure that you've heard this verse before.  How much do we connect it with our lives?  That's what TEMP is asking about.  How attached to this life and this world are you? Is your heart here or is it in Heaven?  Here's where my goofy blog title comes into play.  When you build a camp fire, where do you build it?  Unless you got some awesomely cool thing going on in your house you build it outside.  You want your fire outside where things are permanent.  Where a small fire wont destroy things.  A camp fire inside would likely just end up burning down the house.  This is to me a perfect example of where the fire of our hearts should be.  This life we have here, its short its fragile, and its going to end.  If we build our fire here in this life our house is going to go up in flames and destroy our lives.  However when the fire in our heart is in Heaven what can go wrong?  What can burn down?  What can go wrong?  Most people in this world think that this life is all they have so they build their fire here and now.  They don't know that there is so much more.  They don't know that there is this big world outside.  As Christians we don't live in this house I keep talking about, we are guests in this house.  We are just waiting to go home.  I look at it like this… Back when I was a little kid I loved video games, when I would hang out with a friend we would play video games sometimes.  We'd get really far then we would save the game.  We would be so pumped about beating a really hard part and save the game.  Then it would get late and I would have to go home.  I would be thinking about it a day or two later and get kinda pumped about it again so I'd run down to my basement and click the game on only to remember that we beat that hard level at my friends house.  This is what happens when we as Christians build up our treasures here.  We will go back home to our fathers house.  How far will you be on the game that is yours?  Will you have made it past the first level but stopped when it got hard?  Will you have even of turned the game on?  Stop saving the game at your friends house and start getting far where it will matters.
