Today is day 12 of The World Race! It’s crazy to think that I’ve been here almost 2 weeks. I thought by now I would be hit in the face with some super huge and amazing thing or be homesick, or feel overwhelmed by being in another country. None of that has happened so far. My team and I are doing well and the beauty of Costa Rica is honestly knocking us out.

Here’s 1/3 of Costa Rica from on top of a mountain/cross

Through this beauty I’m starting to learn that no matter where I go I will stay the same until I decide to change and pursue God more. All the while the world God created will still be out there for me to go see. As I seek to see more beautiful views of the world I will see more and different things that I’ve never seen or heard of. The same can be said about my Father. The more I seek Him and His purpose the more beautiful views I will see of Him that I’ve never seen or heard of. The continuing pursuit of a better view from atop His cross.

For an update on life here. We have semi-warm showers. We’re always blessed with having lots of cheap, but good food everywhere. We sleep on a massive LL bean sleeping bag with our sleeping bags on top. We’ve been to San Jose to explore the depths of that massive city with tons of people and shops, we recently went to Carpio to help out another host and it actually gave us some amazing down time. Currently as I’m typing this blog post my team and I are in Manuel Antonio in a hostel overlooking mountains and the pacific ocean.
