I honestly completely forgot that today was the 100th day of The World Race. So here’s some sweet updates and recaps of the past 100! Things I’ve learned and seen:
Costa Rica
Beautiful country with tons of coffee
You can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet
They don’t have cheddar cheese, but they have some pretty legit fried squeaky cheese
Costa Ricans take personal hygiene very very seriously
God puts you in a drought, but He has a purpose for it
San Jose has no street signs so have fun getting lost in a city with minimal Spanish for directions
Nicaragua
Grenada is an awesome city, but has a ton of tourism
Chinandega on the other hand is a giant volcanic dust bowl
Nicaragua isn’t the wealthiest country, but the people I met there are spiritually wealthy
I made some great friends there I will never forget
Don’t go volcano sledding without long clothing on
I’m pretty sure every old lady in Nicaragua is the epitome of adorable and joy-filled
LOOK FOR AMERICANA STORES FOR EVERYTHING
Honduras
Hondurans are crazy, but in a good way
Honduras is super crazy amazing gorgeous
It’s also not as dangerous as you think…for gringos that is
Green beans are mi amor
God is amazing at giving gifts to His children!
LOOK FOR AMERICANA STORES FOR EVERYTHING
Chile
Pressing into hard things takes more mental capacity than I thought
Chileans eat a lot a lot a LOTT of bread
European architecture is a thing
They also have different outlets than the US, but their outlets here makes more sense
Social media fast is hard
Instant-gratification is a problem that likes to hide as something good
(by the way I have a week left in Chile and we’re heading to Bolivia)
Also, my team and I have some pretty funny daily life videos floating around.
I suggest looking for them 🙂
Thank you for checking out my recap/update!! More about our ministry in Chile soon! I expect it to be a pretty good blog. So stick around!
