Well I grew up in Kansas (no Dorothy jokes please, I promise I have heard them all) with my amazing parents and one older sister. I was a fairly normal kid, played some sports, rode a lot of bikes, complained about school, and learned a lot from that before mentioned sister, mostly how to not get grounded. I graduated high school in 2004 and then made the long trek to Northwest Arkansas to attend John Brown University. I stuck around there for two years before heading out to beautiful San Diego, California for an internship that was only supposed to last for 7 months, but almost two years later I am still here.
I love Jesus, I love people, I love loving people and telling them about Jesus. I work at a church in San Diego in the children’s ministry and will be here until I head out on this here race. I am also finishing up my last semester at Point Loma Nazarene University… (wahooo)
All in all I am beyond stoked about this oppurtunity, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for me and all the other awesome people heading out on this race. Check back often, as I have promised my mom to do a better job at blogging when I leave around the world than I did when I left for California =)
